My daughter drew a beautiful picture of sunflower yesterday. She was proud of the work that she did, and was elated to share it with me. We spoke together about God the Father and God the Mother and how everything in creation was created by Their will–even the sunflower (Revelation 4:11). We sat down and shared our realizations together, and were moved by Elohim’s love.
The sunflower is a unique flower that resembles the heavenly body from which its name derives. Its golden color and florets look like the rays of the sun. From the the sunrise in the east, to the sunset in the west, the sunflower always follows the sun–it is always looking at the sun. In this way, it comes to resemble the sun.
As my daughter and I were talking about this, it made me think about how much I long to resemble Heavenly Mother, and show Mother’s love to my daughter and the people that do not know about Her yet. In the same way that the sunflower looks like the sun that it follows, I truly want to be made in the image of Heavenly Mother–following Her path of sacrifice. (Genesis 1:26-27, Galatians 4:26)
That's what I want to be.
